Steven Ochs began his career on Wall St. after graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Economics.
After five years and much soul searching, he knew he needed to leave that world behind, pursue his entrepreneurial passion and just "go for it!" With countless gallons of blood, sweat, and tears, his first product invention, Myachi The Original Hand Sack, went on to sell millions of units worldwide, earned him the reputation as one of the hardest working guys in the toy industry, and saw Ochs featured on the Today Show, CBS Early Show, The Martha Stewart Show, CNBC's Power Lunch, and featured in the NY Times among dozens of other TV and print publications.
Ochs has worked with Fortune 500 companies including Disney, Microsoft, Verizon, Pepsi, and Kellogg's among countless others. During his 20 years in retail, he has worn every hat and built international distribution networks, established manufacturing relationships in the US, Mexico, and Asia, and amassed a network of relationships that cuts across every aspect necessary to successfully bring a product to market and placed into widespread distribution channels.
A legend in the toy and infomercial industries, Chuck has been a successful entrepreneur for 40 years and has extensive experience that has taken him (and his products) all around the world many times over!
His decades of success makes his advice and expertise on how to navigate the constantly changing retail landscape invaluable -- and access to his rolodex is priceless.
As President of Colorforms, Chuck incorporated marketing and sales techniques that grew the company into an icon in the toy industry and one of the most prolific brands in the mass market. He then established a trading company in China that became a "go to" company for importing seasonal and toy products direct from the factory.
Today, Chuck's passion and energy is focused on working with inventors and other entrepreneurs to help bring their products to market via infomercials and strategic licensing partnerships. He has executed licensing deals with the largest players in the business such as Allstar, Idea Village, Emson, Tristar, and Harvest Direct among many others. Chuck's eye for hit products is second to none and his ability to get it in front of the top dogs is unrivaled.
Always one step ahead of the competition, the most valuable advice he gives to his clients is, "Opportunity always looks bigger going than coming, so don't let it pass you by".
